The activities of LGED are being carried out in two divisions namely Dhaka and Rajshahi, one each in the division, two Executive Engineers, each Executive Engineer, and 11 employees in 14 regions namely Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, Extending through Mymensingh, Comilla Faridpur, Jessore, Bogra, Dinajpur and Patuakhali regions. There are 12 officers, including executive engineers and assistant engineers under each caretaker engineer in every region who are supervising and supervising the activities of LGED including the entrusted administrative responsibilities of the districts.
